Oh baby.

Today was FANTASTICO!!! Amalia picked me up at 10:30 with the kids (in a shiny SUV, I might add) and took me on a little tour of rome!! it's amazing, she just parks wherever the hell she wants HAHA and not even straight, like just pulls in and doesn't parallel, HAHA. we went to see the roman forum (incredible) and she had this book that explained everything. it was great because the kids were learning too! and of course they wanted little trinkets that the guy was selling..edo got a little roman dude who's feet broke off in like, two minutes. haha, high quality.

THEN she took us to this beautiful garden where there's a huge rose competition for the best roses! there were HUNDREDS!!! there, i got some good pictures with the kids. we drove around a little more..she pointed out the colesseo, but i'm going to go by myself one day and really see it.

after, we went to downtown rome..WOW!! THAT was exactly how i pictured rome. AMAZING. tiny streets, tall, stucco buildings all squished together. federico met us there and we ate outside, on this terrace at a REALLY fancy restaurant. i had the most AMAZING penne alla vodka of my LIFE. after, we got gelato at this place that literally had 60 flavors!! WOW. i had the most amazing nutella ice cream..EVER. ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!

when we went back to the apartment, chiara was like, "vuoi dormire con me?" i was like YEAHHH!! hahah so we took a nap together, in her little bed! and when we woke up, we played a little and amalia made juuuicy burgers (no buns) with cantaloupe and strawberries..MMMMM!!

when we put the kids to bed, chiara said something like, "kimberly laughs a lot!" HAHA!! and when they were saying their prayers, they were listing everybody, "nonna, e nonno, e mami, e papi.." and chiara was like, "non! nonna, e nonno, e kimberly, e mami, e papi.." AWWWWWWW!!! hehe.

oh, and at one point she asked me, "hai dei amici?" HAHAHAHAH. i said, "si! non sono qui, ma c'e l'ho!" HAHAHA. she's adorable. reminds me a lot of emma. very smart and talks a lot. haha. she took a lot of pictures with my camera too, pretty good!!

oh, and i gave them the egypt book and they LOVED it!!! they ate that up. hahahah.

OH, and they asked me if i would feel comfortable driving in rome. i was like, "noo...but i do know how to drive stick!" they were like, "che sinifca, stick?" i said, "you know, as opposed to automatic.." In rome, there is no 'opposed to automatic'. They probably thought I was crazy! haha. AND, Veronica told me I have a good Italian accent. =)
